I cold forge the MIARA collection in aluminum, a leftover material from local industries that I give a chance for a new life without burdening the environment. Other materials in the jewelery are stainless/surgical steel and pearls in semi-precious stones.
Hematite is also called bloodstone as the high iron content in the stone colors the water blood red when the stone is ground. Hematite is said i.a. able to absorb negative energy, be soothing and strengthening.
The pearls in the collection are different kinds and variants of semi-precious or freshwater pearls, it is a mixture of vintage and recycled pearls, to some extent some pearls also come from closed shops as well as a local wholesaler who buys up Swedish stocks that are sold off due to of everything from illness, loss of interest, changed life situations to bankruptcies.
Note that aluminum worn directly against the skin can, depending on the individual's skin composition, discolour. It is not dangerous in any way but may be good to know.
If there is a strong desire to wear the jewelry close to the skin, but want to appear, I recommend applying transparent nail polish on the side that has direct contact with the skin.
I strive for all jewelry to become "individuals", to have their own personality with minor differences in shape, structure, angles and dimensions.
Urberg Design does not keep large stocks, but creates continuously based on what is in demand, based on the sustainability aspect.
Sustainable and skin-friendly material choices are part of my jewelry's hallmark.
