Imagine my surprise when representatives from MJW, at the beginning of 2021, contacted miv via pm on social media. They had found my account, visit the website www.urbergdesign.com and absolutely loved my products and my clear focus on sustainability. They wanted to invite me to the exhibition!
Milano Jewelry Week - Front page
Due to the pandemic, the date of the event was changed a number of times, but in the end it was off to Italy and Milan in October 2022. Where both I and two of my unique creations traveled.
I chose to exhibit in the "Artistar Jewels" exhibition, one of several different exhibitions within the event itself.
The exhibitions were held in historic, beautiful and grand premises/buildings around the innermost beautiful center of Milan.
In connection with Artistar Jewels, I and my chosen creations were presented in the voluminous yearbook.
In addition to the exhibition and yearbook, I also had the opportunity to an individual creator's page on Over Jewels, MJW's e-commerce.

To physically stand in front of one's own jewelry art, in lavish premises, with jewelry from industry colleagues from all corners of the world, it is difficult to put into words.
The moment when I stood there in front of hundreds of pieces of jewelry and realized my own level of design language, exploration of materials, choice of technique, imagination and focus on sustainability - in relation to other people's creations, moved me deeply. A feeling of strength and pride landed like a warm and safe embrace around my inner person.
Showing my creations on the international market was and continues to be a clear step for Urberg Design and me as a creator.
Building your business, building your brand during a pandemic, in times of war and with an economic crisis - is anything but tailwind. But, I use passion, motivation and inner fervor and conviction to persevere, to work on.
I received loads of encouragement, praise, affirmation and cheers from visitors, industry colleagues and all kinds of jewelery fans for my creations and my choices of materials and for so resolutely keeping my focus - the holistic view of sustainability.
To reach out to the market, regionally and internationally, reach relevant customers and find matching dealers. It is truly my biggest challenge.
Tagging, sharing, spreading the word, it makes a difference! No one knows what one or the other can lead to, what we do know is that if nothing is done, nothing happens either.
Thank you in advance for supporting me in various ways and my endeavor to contribute to change and decorate with sustainability in focus, thank you lovely people!
Together we make a difference and Let's stay eco fab!

]]>I create my jewelry art there to a large extent from recycling and residual/waste material from local industries & producers.
I want to offer on several levels genuinely sustainable jewelry and decoration in the prevailing, in several different ways harmful mass production and the unsustainable consumption of the Western world.
The fashion industry is undergoing major changes. But it mostly applies to the textile industry. The jewelery and accessories segment is unfortunately far behind.
Where there is money, there are power structures.
"Fine jewels" are the most precious of metals and stones.
It continues to get "whatever it takes" regardless of what, how, who is affected.
We know historically how dirty and bloody the gold and diamond industry has been.
I hope that one day taking responsibility can be consolidated in this segment of the industry as well, naive it may seem, but hope and desire still exist.
Fashion and style are for many a way of expressing themselves, an extension of their self, a creative joy in life.
It is not at all strange, it seems to be one of the human needs, it is in our nature.
Man has in all times, in all cultures, adorned himself and his surroundings.
Yes, we all have needs in addition to food, sleep, security, closeness, etc. also the need to express ourselves through various forms of culture, creativity, in order to feel really good.
I want to offer skin-friendly, soulful and sustainable alternatives to this particular human need. Needs that are about living, beyond survival.
Let's continue to express ourselves, adorn ourselves, each other and our surroundings!
But, make our choices with a thought for tomorrow, nature and future generations.

At the same time, it can't go fast enough! As we long for!
To make a decision in the middle of life to change lifestyle, change city to sparsely populated area. Take the plunge and really give your dreams a real chance. Although in many ways it feels a little scary, it is at the same time so rooted, well thought out and feels so deeply right.
Life is too short to let second thoughts and unwarranted fears hinder the pursuit of living the dream.
One of my promises to myself, is to do everything I can not to become a bitter old age (if one gets the privilege of being allowed to hang on to the corners of the mouth, eyelids, hearing and hair, one gets closer and closer to the earth one walks on).
One way, I think, is to dare. Dare to test, what lies within reasonable limits and possibilities. Seeking to capture the root of a longing. Give chances, opportunities for that where dreams rest. Better to try and discover that it didn't work, than year after year to think "..what if...".
It facilitates that one's partner has similar dreams, similar longings. That both wish the other to go far with their talents and longings.

My partner is suffering from a work injury which is being investigated and we can only hope for the best. Perhaps he is forced to change professions, but at the same time he sees opportunities in that.
I myself have been dealing with post Covid since the turn of the year 21/22, one thing at a time, one day at a time, it will work out, is a mantra that strengthens.
I love the city I have lived in since 1998. Umeå, where the social climate is high, a young city with room for the most tender people and their interests. Umeå will always be "my city" in my heart, but the longing for nature, larger spaces for studio and workshop, being able to keep chickens, grow and being able to run naked in the rain whenever I want - it lures me away despite the love for Umeå.
A room in the apartment building will become a temporary studio, while waiting for the barn in the barn to be scrubbed, renovated and adapted to my business.
My hope is to be able to process orders during June, but, at the moment, it is unclear.
To guarantee your holiday jewelry, the order must be placed before June 1st.

The goal is to highlight moments, thoughts, events and moments, from everyday life, from parties, from the private and from the profession as a designer, jewelry artist and "material detective".
Hope you occasionally find delight in different forms.
So...
As many already know, we have made the decision, to leave the accommodation and current lifestyle in the city, to become permanent residents of our croft (crow castle) and paradise "Solbacken".
Just over a year ago, this big step and choice of path crystallized, after many years of cautious and diffuse longing. But suddenly it was clear to us. If we were to implement this, it was now or never.
We believe that life is too short not to dare to give your realistic dreams a real chance. One should strive to live as one learns, right?
The whole family, me, my fiance and the children (5 and 8 years old respectively), we all love our cottage. Hope the love lasts, even better deepens.
Torpet Solbacken, which can best be described as a holiday home, a two-family house from the 1930s, closer to a crow's castle with potential than anything else, has now, over the past year, undergone major, indeed very major, changes.
Necessary ones.
